Saratov branch of Mirantis Inc. in collaboration with Cisco DCAS Engineering is looking
for Senior Software Engineer to play a key role in development of Cisco Application Control
Engine family products. The Cisco ACE family of application switches includes the Cisco ACE
Service Module for the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches and Cisco 7600 Series Routers‚ as
well as the standalone Cisco ACE 4710 Appliance for discrete data center deployments that are
intended to increase the availability‚ performance‚ and security of data center applications.
Responsibilities
Development of software for Cisco ACE product line;
Improvement of development processes and the existing unit-testing infrastructure;
Constant collaboration with oversea teams from USA and India about the ongoing
activities and releases -- participation in teleconferences over phone;
Articulate design decisions and explain technical issues to the rest of the team;
Help to grow expertise within the team‚ oversee peers’ work and help them with
technical issues if/as needed.
Requirements
MS/BS in Computer Science‚ or equivalent;
Strong Unix/Linux and networking skills;
Solid expertise in C/C++ and scripting languages (TCL‚ Python‚ Shell);
Hands-on experience with standard command line tools like gcc‚ gdb‚ valgrind‚ make
and version control systems (e.g cvs‚ svn‚ git‚ mercurial);
Decent spoken and written English skills for phone communication‚ e-mail
correspondence and reporting;
Personal skills: good team player‚ strong problem solving skills‚ responsible‚ with
excellent communication skills and ambitions to become a leader.
Would be a plus:
Experience in Linux kernel or drivers development.
