Saratov office of Mirantis company in looking for a Software Engineer‚ who would take part in
development of big data- oriented solutions and related research activities. An ideal candidate
will have extensive experience with Hadoop‚ Java‚ distributed processing‚ and a passion to
solve complex big data-related computational problems. We are building a team of people
committed to excellence in the business and technology of big data‚ and you will be challenged
to deliver innovative and effective solutions.
Responsibilities:
Take part in design‚ implementation and testing of big data solutions;
Build large distributed systems that scale well‚ using Apache Hadoop and similar
technologies;
Learn new technologies‚ evaluate them and create prototypes.
Requirements:
2+ years of software development experience;
BS/MS in computer science or related;
A strong desire and aptitude for learning new technologies;
Good knowledge of Java and its ecosystem;
Understanding of approaches for distributed processing of large data sets across clusters of computers and potential bottlenecks that may exist;
Written English.
Would be a huge plus:
Hands-on experience working with Apache Hadoop and related technologies –
mapreduce‚ cassandra‚ hbase‚ hive‚ pig‚ zookeeper;
Ability to write MapReduce jobs and tweak them for optimal performance;
Direct contribution to Apache Hadoop open source community;
Experience in working with open-source NoSQL solutions;
Excellent communication skills and spoken English.
